Where events or timing prevent the Greenspace Arrangement being put in place for a development, the developer makes a single or multi-payment to Greenbelt for the transfer of open space and its associated responsibilities or problems.
This arrangement is typically applied to sites that have already been developed and have historic management and maintenance issues.
Greenbelt can be engaged to take future responsibilityfor these issues on behalf of the developer, local authority or other organisation.
